John Abramyan joined the lab in Feb 2010 as a postdoctoral scholar. He completed his PhD at University of Queensland in lab of Dr Peter Koopman. He is working on cell wall evolution in early diverging fungi including Chytrid and Zygomycete fungi. He is also exploring role of candidate genes in cell wall growth and maintenance in Neurospora.
John left in August 2011 to pursue postdoc research at the University of British Columbia.
