Steven is a 2nd year student in the GGB program using bioinformatics and structural biology to study sensing and environmental response by fungi using comparative genomics, and exploring the diversity of sensing proteins using fungal metagenomics.
In July 2015 Stephen completed his PhD thesis and moved to the Joint Genome Institute /UC Berkeley as a postdoctoral fellow.
