Sofia Robb

Sofia joined the lab as a postdoctoral scholar in August 2011. She earned her PhD from the University of Utah working on the planaria Schmidtea mediterranea. Her current projects in the lab will focus on genomics and bioinformatics studies of transposable elements in Rice.  In collaboration with the Wessler lab, Sofia is also working on development of novel teaching materials for the Dynamic Genomes course.

She has taught at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Programming for Biology course for several years.
