Dr Yan Wang was a postdoc in the lab from 2017-2019 working on the ZyGoLife project and Anaerobic Gut Fungi (Neocallomastigomycota) systematics project. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto working on genomics and evolution in the Harpellales (Kickellomycotina) fungi.
Dr Wang started as faculty at Univ of Toronto where he is an Assistant Professor of Evolutionary Genomics.
